雅思口语下雨天话题

• Do your prefer rainy days or sunny days

Well, I really like sunny days because they are warm and bright, which pushes me to spend time outdoors doing all sorts of activities and soaking up the sun really gives me a lot of energy and optimism.

• What do you do on rainy days

Well, as rainy days make me feel sluggish and lazy, all I do is stay in bed all day long or indulge in a massage. I can also get immersed in a good book or watch some romantic movies.

• What do you usually do when it rains and you are outside

Oh, I really hate getting soaked to the skin. That’s is why if I am outside when it starts raining and don’t have an umbrella with me, I either take a taxi and go straight to the destination or run as fast as I can to the nearest shelter.

• Do you think rain is good

I wouldn’t say it always is, as too much rain can cause flash floods, destroy crops and make rivers overflow so that homes get flooded or swept away completely.

• How does rain affect life in your country

I think the right amount of rain brings much needed relief to farmers because it leads to an increase in crop yields and as a result, boosts the income of all the people engaged in agriculture.

• Is there any part in your country where it doesn’t rain much?

Definitely there is. I guess that the place that receives the least amount of rainfall in China is the desert area of Xinjiang.

雅思口语关于下雨天话题及回答

1. Do you like rainy days?

I will say no cos it’s kinda inconvinient to run around or whatever.and what else i wanna say is i don’t like the feeling of getting wet when i have something to do.

2. What do you do on rainy days?

Well it kind of depends really, because if there are some things I have to do regardless of whether it’s raining or not, you know, like going to lectures and stuff. But when I’m free, I tend to just chill out at home if it’s raining. So for example, I might read a book ,watch TV or just sleep.

3. Do you think rain is good?

Yeah, for sure. I mean, for one thing, it helps get rid of all the dust in the air. And secondly, it’s good for the natural environment. You know, it helps all the plants and vegetation stay alive. So although I don’t particularly like the rain, I understand the need for it!

4. Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown?

Yeah, most definitely, because you know, whenever it rains, the traffic always seems to get a lot more congested. I’m not exactly sure why, but I guess it’s probably because cars have to drive slower in the rain.

5. Is there any part of China where it doesn't rain much?

Yeah, I’d say there a quite a few areas of the country where it doesn’t rain a lot, the most obvious place being the Gobi Desert, which I guess never gets any rain, what with being a desert and all! And also I’d say the north of China, in general, doesn’t really get all thatmuch rain, at least compared with the south, so a lot of that part of the country is quite dry.

6. What effects can a shortage of rain have on people’s lives?

Well thinking about it, I suppose one of the biggest affects it can have is on our food supply, because things like fruit and vegetables need water to grow, and rain provides the water. So you know I think it’s pretty safe to say that a shortage of rain is likely to result in a decrease in our overall food supply.

7. Can you remember a time when it rained particularly heavily in your hometown?

Yeah I can. About a year or so ago, we had, like, several days of torrential rain, almost non-stop, and so the whole of my neighbourhood got flooded. You know, the water was like, up to my knees, and so traffic came to a complete standstill. So yeah, that was probably the worst time I can remember.

雅思口语中下雨天话题如何作答

1. Does it rain much in China【WhereWhen?】

China really spans too large a geographic area to give an accurate answer to that. Down in the south and closer to the equator where there’s plenty of jungles and rainforests, it practically rains all the time all year around, particularly in the summer. As you go north or further west inland, the frequency of rain reduces.

2. Is there any part of China where it doesn't rain much?

Yeah, in the Gobi Desert in the western inland regions of the country. It still rains on occasion, but it's one of the driest regions on Earth. Rain is relatively rare up on the Tibetan plateau as well, partly because it more often than not manifests as snow instead, and I guess the same can be said of places at the northern tip of the country.

3. When 【in what month/season】 does it rain most in your hometown?

I live up in the north, close to the capital Beijing, and in a city on the coast. For me, it rains regularly in the summer months, and maybe the late spring as well, but less so in other times. Really, the rain is welcome, since it always accompanies a drop in temperature that can ease the sweltering heat.

4. In which season does it rain most in other parts of China?

As far as I'm aware, it's the same for most of the country, and the summer is when rainfall occurs the most. It's hot and the sun causes larger amounts of water to evaporate and accumulate as clouds to come down as rain later, so it makes sense that would be the case.

5. Can you remember any time when it rained particularly heavily in yourhometown?

Several years ago when I was still in high school, I remember there was once a torrential downpour. The sky turned dark dramatically, and the rain just came pouring. It overwhelmed the city's draining systems, and the streets were so flooded with water that you couldn't tell where the curb ended and where the road began, much less see any road markings.

另一版本答案:To tell you the truth, I have no clue about this. I do not give a hoot about geography and the amount of rain in my country. I think the most rainfall is in the North where there is an intricate system of rivers.

I think it’s pretty safe to say = 我觉得可以说……

Other effects:

It could result in a lack of drinking water

It could result in the government controlling how much water we can use. For example, I think I’m right in saying that in some parts of Australia, people can only spend a certain amount of time each day having a shower!
