1. Are you interested in robots? Why?
I cannot say that I am obsessed with robots, but every moment I see robots, I think they are so cool. Don't you think it is a magic that they can fully understand the instructions we give to them?
2. Do you like robots to work at your home?
I am pretty content with robots working at my home doing things that I really don’t like. So, for example, things like cleaning the room or the car, well if the robot does it I am good with it. Or, for sometimes make food for me. But, then depending entirely on them, does not suits me well. Allowing the robot to cook food for me or drive car for me, is not something I will go for. Sometimes it is good, but there are times you wish to do things on your own, spend time with people you love. I think balancing between both is where the things will go.
3. What do you think robots might be able to do in people's homes in the future?
Well, you know, how awesome the artificial intelligence is! Robots are widely regarded as super helpers of human beings, doing the chores like a housewife, fixing the household appliances and doing the manual labor. In my mind, they can do anything except giving a birth to a baby.
4. Do you want to take a car which robot is the driver?
Wow, it sounds awesome, but the problem of security is still one of my concern. Maybe one day, it is supported by a sufficiently advanced technology, I will try with pleasure.
5. Will robots replace human beings in the workplace completely?
I have to acknowledge that the accuracy of robots in the certain field is far better than mankind, especially those jobs that emphasize more on the technology and operation. But I don't think they can totally replace men, I mean, many jobs are still not suited to robots. They have no feelings or emotions, so making decisions and designing things are not their strong suit.
6. Do you think robots might be dangerous in the future?
It’s hard to judge that whether robots might be a danger. As we all know, the artificial intelligence is developing rapidly, so it is likely that robots would have true emotions like us. By then, we may worry about that.
I don’t think so. Many people think that robots are too advanced to control. But to my knowledge, the power and abilities they owned are all given by we human beings, by scientists. In a word, there is need to worry about that.
7. How do you think robots will influence society in the future?
For opener, robots can share most of difficult and demanding jobs, like porters and sanitation workers. Meanwhile, they can replace people to do dangerous jobs, such as the work on rescue scene and constructionsites.
While it still has drawbacks, it will exert bad influence on employment rate in the long term.

What types of music do you like to listen to?
It’s quite varied really, sometimes I like to listen to pop music and other times I like to listen to movie soundtracks or instrumental music.
At what times of day do you like to listen to music?
I usually listen to music throughout the day, on and off, but I suppose the longest period would be when I’m traveling to work because the journey is almost an hour there and another hour returning at night – and listening to music helps pass the time.
Did you learn to play a musical instrument when you were a child?
No, I didn’t. It wasn’t something I was interested in. My parents wanted me to learn how to play the piano but I preferred to do sports and eventually they realized that my interests lay elsewhere.
Do you think all children should learn to play a musical instrument?
It’s not something which should be compulsory, but I do believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument and discover if they have a talent for it – or not.

Describe an important stage of your life
You should say:
· what part it is
· where you were then
· what memorable things you did
and explain why this is the most enjoyable part / stage in your life.
One of the most important times in my life, as it is in almost everyone’s life, was when I was sixteen.
I was in high school in Beijing. I was a kind ofa shy teenager and only had one friend. We were very close and did everything together. We would often go to each other’s house for sleepovers, and would stay up late at night chatting about everything two children could ever chat about. We were best of friends until one day when we had a terrible misunderstanding. She thought I had told someone a secret that she had told me, and she decided not to be my friend anymore. She made a new best friend and would strut around with her trying to make me jealous. She would gossip with all the other kids about me. I suddenly became an outcast at school, and thus, became utterly lonely and depressed. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me.
It was not until I talked with my cousin about my situation, that I realized it was not me that had a problem but her. I also began to understand that you can not take what others say and do so close to heart, or you will always feel bad about yourself, and will never be able to live your life. I also realized that bad things happen in life, and you can not hide from them or dig yourself into a hole. I eventually found a new best friend, whom I am still friends with today. I have a more open personality. and I am one of the top students in my college. I believe that situation made me a stronger person. I can handle rejection now wherever it comes from, and just keep rolling with a smile on my face.
What sorts of things can people do when they reach this legal age of adulthood?
It’s kind of different from foreign countries. Even after reaching the legal adult age, young people don‘t usually drink or go out to clubs; they usually just study and go to school. But after turning 18, youngsters can get more respect from their parents. They are treated as adults, because parents would understand they can take care of themselves. For example, they can go travelling or camping alone.
Since young people seem to be maturing faster than before. do you think it will be necessary to change this legal age for reaching adulthood?
I don’t think it is necessary. Getting mature is about experience, not only about age. Take China for example, people normally go to college at 19; only after that, they begin to take care of themselves and live on their own. They begin to try and learn how to deal with people and other problems, and they just start to get to know what real life is. So, I believe 18 is still a sensible age.

I remember once, a few years ago it was, when I had a problem with my washing machine. It was quite an old machine but it had always worked very well and was effective at washing clothes, sheets and such like.
Anyway, one day when I was using it, I noticed some water leaking out from underneath the machine. It was maybe about half-way through the washing cycle when this happened. I started to mop up the water and thought it maybe wasn’t anything serious – but a few minutes later a wave of water appeared across the floor of the laundry room, it was as if I’d just opened the door on the machine while it was still full of water.
I couldn’t mop up the water fast enough. I had to turn the machine off, and there was still more water inside it. So, the machine stopped and I continued trying to mop up the water, eventually managing to get the floor dry.
I’m not a technical person at all, so I called my brother who is quite good at things like that and he came round later in the afternoon to have a look at it. It only took him about 5 minutes to find the problem – apparently one of the water hoses at the back of the machine had come loose and that was why the water had been pouring out from under the machine instead of draining away through the hose.
He managed to reconnect it again and then we tested the washing machine by filling it with a little water and some clothes to make sure that it would operate again normally. Thankfully it did … so it was quite a simple problem to fix, but it was very inconvenient at the time. I’m happy to say that it’s been working fine ever since then – just like it used to.
