Ok, well the first place that came to mind when I saw this topic was the Beijing Metro, because I remember it being unbelievably crowded, so that’s what I’m gonna talk to you about.

And as for when I went there, well it was actually pretty recently, I suppose probably only about two or three weeks ago, so it’s still pretty fresh in my memory.

And regarding what I was doing there, well basically, I was on my way to see a friend who lives in Beijing, and she had told me that by far the best way to get around the city was using the subway, simply because the roads were so congested. So I took her advice, but it was a huge shock when I actually got into the subway station and saw just how many people there were. I mean, I knew that there would be a lot of people, but I never expected to see that many!

Although looking back on it now, I suppose what made it worse was the fact that I was travelling during rush hour, so it was a lot more crowded than I’m sure it would have been during off-peak times. And when I saw how packed the train was when it was pulling into the station, I remember thinking there was no way I was going to be able to get on. But I was in a bit of a hurry, coz I was actually already running late, so I had no choice really but to join the huge queue of people waiting. Anyway, I did somehow manage to make it onto the train, but I was pressed up against people on all sides, so it was pretty uncomfortable to say the least! I mean, it was absolutely heaving, and I literally couldn’t move at all!

Thankfully though, I didn’t have too far to travel, coz if I remember correctly, I was only on the train for about 4 stops. And when I finally got off, I remember feeling incredibly relieved, and also very grateful that I didn’t have to go through the same experience every day.

So yeah, I guess that’s pretty much all there is to say!

Ok, I’m going to describe a car I would like to have in the future. Well we’re spoilt for choice nowadays with the huge range of cars and vehicles on the market, but one car that appeals to me a lot is an SUV. And as for what it will look like, well, thinking about it, I wouldn’t want it to be too flashy, as it might draw unwanted attention, so I’d rather go for something relatively low-key.

So this being the case, I would choose a plain and simple colour like white, because although it’s one of the most common car colours, I still reckon it looks the best, as long as the car is kept clean! Going on to my next point, then, which is regarding how much it will cost, well, to be honest with you, I’m not really that sure as I haven’t done any research, but I guess the price range of a mid-end SUV would be somewhere between three hundred and four hundred thousand renminbi, so it won’t be cheap, but hopefully by the time I need one I’ll have sufficient funds to get one!

Finally, if there’s time, with regard to why I’d choose an SUV over other cars, well, to put it simply, I reckon SUVs are among the safest cars on the road, and the reason for saying that it is because you are sitting higher up, so on the off chance you collide with another car, you’re less likely to get injured than if you were sitting in a normal car. And just one final thing to add would be that I would definitely make sure the car is equipped with ESC, which stands for electronic stability control, which means that if you make a sudden turn to avoid something, your car will automatically remain in control. So this, for me, would be essential, as the traffic in China is pretty chaotic, as I’m sure you know! Ok, I think that’s pretty much everything, so thanks a lot for listening.

Ok, right then, I'm going to describe someone who has recently been in the news who I would like to meet. Well, after thinking about it just now, I've decided I would like to talk about Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple.

And as for how I know about him, well I think it's probably fair to say that he must be one of the world’s most famous and successful entrepreneurs, so it would actually be kind of hard not to know about him! You know, even here in China, he's incredibly well-known, mainly due to the fact that Apple's products, like the iPhone and iPad, are super popular here.

So it will be interesting to see how Apple does without him, as he has, without doubt, been the main driving force and mastermind behind the company’s success.
