This line chart depicts the change in percentages of households that owned no car, one car
and at least two cars in Great Britain during the 40 years spanning from 1961 to 2001.We can see clearly from the chart that over this period, the number of households with access to one car or more was increasing, compared with a significant reduction proportion of households without cars from 60 % to approximately 40 % . In 1961, only 30% households owned one car and no family owned more than two cars, but after 20 years from 1961 to 1981 the former rose to 40 % and the latter increased by nearly 8 % . Especially, over the same period, the proportion of household without a car dramatically dropped to 40%. equaling that of those with one car. During the following years, it kept its decreasing with two slight deceleration"tiars in the period from 1971 to 1981 and the period from age of households owned one car and two or more ones 1991 to 2001. By 2001, the percent- had separately steadily reached 72 % and 15 % , while households with no car only took up 30 % then.
As the chart reflects, in Great Britain, the general trend of the percentage of private cars over the 40 years was that, as time went on. more and more people had become or were becoming car owners.

car and two or more cars in Britain during a 40-year period from 1961 to 2001.
As can be seen from the chart, the car was a much less popular household item in the 1960s than it is today. Nearly 65 % of British families did not have a car of their own in 1961,about one third had only one car, and no families owned two or more cars。
The next 20 years. however, saw a significant increase in car ownership. In 1981. 15% of British families owned two or more cars while the percentage of families with one car reached a peak of 50%. During the same period, the percentage of households with no cars decreased sharply to approximately 35 %.
From 1981 to 2001, an increasing number of families purchased an additional car. pushing
the percentage of households with two or more cars to a record high of 30 % . Families with
only one car were still the majority but their percentage had dropped slightly to about 43% by constituted around 60% of the total students' expenditure in all the three countries.
The difference is that in country A and B accommodation spending executed food spending while the reverse was true for country C.
