Describe a piece of technology 【not computer—related】 you like to use
You should say:
What the technology is
When it was invented
What it is used for
How you feel about it
In fact, I own several techno devices & gadgets and out of those, I would like to talk about the Kindle Fire that I have. This device is produced and sold by Amazon and I ordered it from their website last year.
This device is both a tabloid and a digital book reader. To me it is a very important technology device for purchasing online products, listening audio books and reading eBooks. I have noticed that after I have bought this device, the percentage of my reading has increased significantly. I use it to read eBooks and with the Wi-Fi connectivity, it becomes easier to find books online. The charges last for a couple of weeks and this is a great device for reading books. As I bought it last year, I own it for more than a year and with time this has become an important electronic device that I own. This device is my best companion when I make my journey. The perfect design, nice outlook, good quality hardware and nice user interface make it an ideal device for book lovers. To me, this is an important device as this fulfils my appetite for reading. With the internet connection with this device, I now have access to an immense number of books and reading materials. Before purchasing it, I used to read 1 book in a month on an average which has increased to around 3-4 books per month after I bought this device.
I love and enjoy reading and this is a really good device for digital reading. It is immensely important to read and for me, this Kindle Fire is a companion I would like to have always with me. In fact, sometimes I consider it to be the most important and utilitarian electronic devices I ever had.

1.How often do you look at yourself in the mirror every day?
2.Have you ever bought mirrors?
3.Would you use mirrors to decorate rooms?
4.Do you often look in the mirror?
5.Do you have mirror at home?
6.Is it a good idea to use mirrors in the interior design?
1 I have a mirror in my bathroom, and I look at myself while I am brushing my teeth. I then have another mirror at my makeup stand, and I look at it while putting on makeup. After that I do not really use it during the day.
2 Yes, when we were redecorating our bathroom, my mother asked me to come with her to choose a new mirror.
3 There are several different types of mirrors being made these days, and some are quite artistic. I have seen ones that are decorated with shells, as well as other types of decoration. This means that mirrors can be used as a wall decoration, rather than just something to look at our reflection, and I would use them in my house.
4 Not frequently. But, if I am going out for a party or may be on a date or if sometimes when I try a new look, I do look at mirror more than the usual times. So, one can find me catching a glimpse of me in the mirror of the car or the flash of a shiny thing, just to make sure that I am looking good. Apart from this, while preparing for a speech, well I usually prefer mirrors for that. But, otherwise mirror is surely not my best friend.
5 Presently, I am living in a furnished apartment. So, everything that is there was already placed and yes I do have mirrors in my home. There are two mirrors, each in one room and then there is a mirror in the bathroom as well.
6 I believe it depends on the individual’s choice. Someone who loves their own reflection, can probably have lot of mirrors in their interior designs, otherwise one may choose not to have. But, for me, I would love to have mirrors in the interiors of my house. But, I would prefer having them in such a way that they reflect the outside beauty in the mirrors.

Describe a book you liked to read in your childhood.
You should say:
who wrote this book
what it is about
hen you read it
and explain why you liked it.
I wasn’t much of a bookworm but I did occasionally read novels from time to time during my childhood. In fact, I’d like to talk about a book I read when I was 9 years old, written by Li Hong. Its English name translates as ‘Hero’.
I would have been in primary school at the time, I guess around grade 4, but I can’t remember exactly off the top of my head. Bear in mind that in those days I would rather go outside and play with my friends than read a book, but I remember this book in particular taking up a large portion of my time.
The book is actually the first in a series of 6 books that are set in a fantasy world of old magic, monsters and knights in shining armour. It is set on an epic scale across a vast, vibrant and immensely detailed world with each chapter dedicated to just one character’s viewpoint. It’s perfect for a young boy with a vivid imagination, looking for a bit of adventure.
In this way I think the book really stands out from the others I have read. The plot lines twist and turn with many surprises and cliff-hangers so I found it almost impossible to put down. The speed the story develops makes the book a real page-turner and even though it is nearly 1000 pages long I got through it in under a fortnight.

Describe a subject you didn't like before but have interest in now.
You should say:
what it was
when you studied the subject
why you didn't like it before
and explain why you have interest in it now.
Let’s just say, I was far from an angel at school. I guess I wasn’t that bad, but no one would call me a model student. There were a few subjects I really didn’t care for, but mainly it was Chinese.
I’ve obviously studied Chinese throughout my school life, but it was particularly excruciating during senior high-school, so when I was around 11 to 17 years old.
Wow, where do I start? Firstly, our teacher was awful. His name was Mr Zhang and he was a real old fuddy-duddy who would only teach from the textbook and regularly bored us to death. We would have to commit countless things to memory, lots of ancient stuff like poems and chengyu, which are Chinese phrases made from between 3 to 16 characters, although the most common use 4. I couldn’t see a use for these things in modern life, they just didn’t seem practical.
As I got older and more mature, I started to respect Chinese more. I dug out some of my old textbooks and began flicking through them. Second time round they made more sense to me and I engaged with them a lot more.
Nowadays there is a greater interest in Chinese, with a variety of TV shows such as “Chengyu Yingxiong”, which means ‘Chengyu Hero’. These shows celebrate people’s knowledge of characters and in doing so celebrate our culture.
