I’d like to talk about a time that I borrowed thing from others. It was in October 2014, I went to watch the shanghai tennis mater 1000 tournament with a good friend. When I have already reached out I found that I haven’t fully charged my cell phone last night and I didn’t take the portable charger. When I got there my phone is only with 60 percent battery left and we will spend almost a whole daytime there so I started to be anxious because firstly, I have to take many photos with my cell phone which was one of the main purposes that I go there. Secondly, I have to keep in touch with my friend for that we might split up somehow. We watched a match in the midday and after that my phone was almost out of battery. Then it came to the most exciting part and highlight of today. We went for the training site of the world no.1 player Novak Djokovic but sadly I found my phone was on the verge of stripping out【俚语,耗尽】 . You know, to take some closer picture and video of him was the biggest wish before I came to there. So if my phone run out of battery in that particular moment I will be definitely disappointed. Thanks god, I borrowed a mobile charger from the other spectator. The timely battery support helped me through the rest of the training and games. I successfully took some close photo of my tennis icon and even a valuable one with me and him together. Thanks to that amicable and helpful guy I got the sufficient battery to survive for the rest of the time in the tennis match site. Without him, I won’t have such a complete and memorable experience as a big tennis fan.

1.TV is probably one of the best inventions of mankind .

We sit for hours in front of the TV watching a variety of channels, you know glued to the tube. And be happily entertained.

2.The TV show I like the most is an American Sitcom on NBC called “Friends”.

The show is so big worldwide , and fans are in millions.

To me it’s entertainment and English learning because they speak English so cool.

3.Our family got cable very early, so one day I was watching this commercial on TV about this show. I didn’t understand it because the people were speaking so fast, but I heard all the audience laughing. So I said to myself this is funny. I need to watch it. So I bought some DVDs. I think it was in the year 2002

4.The show lasted for 10 years. It’s basically about six very different friends staying close for an unusually long time. They grew up together, and they were always there for each other. It’s very warm.

5.I like the show because it shows me that people can genuinely care about each other. We live so lonely nowadays especially in the city. And this show provides some kind of a friendship utopia that we can take shelter in. That kind of friendship is what everybody wants. I learned true friends should listen to each other, give each other understandings and supports and respect the choices each makes.

雅思口语描述教育变化范文

Question:

What changes took place in education in your country over the past decade?

过去十年,你所在的国家教育发生了怎样的变化?

Answer:

Well, everything is changing, so is education.

The most important change that took place over the past decade is this.

1. increased admission

It seems to me that more and more people are now able to go to college while in the past the competition was much stronger.

College admission is opening up, and this is a direct result of the state policy.

The consequence is that many students who have not reached the level of university education are also allowed to sit in the college classroom, therefore the quality of education has been declining.

2. master’s degree/overseas education

It is because this problem that an increasing number of people are pursuing more education after college graduation. These options include master’s program and possibly overseas education, just like what I’m doing right now. We’re fed up with the boring routine life in college, and we’re fighting for a better future for ourselves.

3. increased tuition

Unfortunately, not every child would have the opportunity to continue their education after college. Why? Simply because going to school is so costly.

The tuition has been almost tripled over the past decade and this presented serious financial pressure that some families cannot handle. So some of my classmates have to drop out just because their families ran short of money. Human tragedy! I’m lucky. My mom and dad are making enough money, so I can even go to college in Canada. But I’m not taking this for granted, I’ll be eternally grateful to them.

4. Private training institution

Wherever there’s need, there’s a solution. As more families realized the importance of making education investment in their kids, training demands has been soaring over the past 10 years. Private training institutions such as New Oriental flourished. So as long as you want you will always find a place to study and a class schedule that fits you. Opportunities for personal improvement are many.
