范文

Since I was young, I’ve been taken lots of pictures by others. After the graduation from high school, I have my own smartphones. I can take a picture of myself with the movements and expressions as I wish. However, the times of me being taken artistic photo is only one, which is also considered as my favorite photo of myself.

When the artistic photos were taken, my brother and I were both very young. I was around 7 years old and my brother was just a baby learning how to walk. On one weekend, my parents took me and my brother to the most famous photographic studios in our local town. I was so excited about taking the artistic photo because I knew there would be someone giving you beautiful makeup and clothes. My brother felt anxious about arriving at a new place. He couldn’t stop crying when the staff in photographic studio were preparing him. Soon, everything was prepared, except for my crying brother. Without any other ways to coax child, my parents put him on the surroundings of the photo taking and told the photographer to start. Amazingly, at the moment my brother sat on the surroundings, he stopped crying and we took really beautiful photos to memorize our childhood.

After I grow up, I often take the photos out and see the smiling faces of me and my little brother. At that time, we were so young and weak, never worried about the future. We had a great time playing all sorts of games and enjoyed the care and love our parents gave. Now my brother and I both became adults, the pure smile on our faces might be less, but the happy days and our parents’ care will always be remembered.

雅思口语如何描述一张照片

Describe a photo of yourself that you like.

When the photograph was taken

What it looks like

What significant memory you have regarding this photograph

and explain why it is one of your favourite photographs.

Well, these days such photographs are called 'selfie' and I did not know that there was something called selfie until I turned to 23! Selfie is indeed a craze these days while it was unheard of in the past, at least to me. The photograph that I would like to talk about was not a so-called selfie that teenagers take these days using the front camera of their mobile phones. I took this picture many years ago when I was around 12 years old with a large Canon camera.

My father gave me this camera on my 12th birthday and this was the first time when I owned a camera. I loved to capture pictures of my relatives and beautiful sceneries. We had to use a rolled film at that time called ‘rollfilm’ and did not have the freedom to take as many photos as we wanted unlike the digital camera owners have these days.

One day I was invited to one of my friends' birthday party and his parents requested me to bring my camera with me. I took many photos at that party and at night when I returned from the party, I noticed that 2-3 film strips were still empty and I could take more photos before I send the film roll to be washed and printed. At that time I was in my room and could not find anything suitable to capture. I was standing in front of the looking glass and the idea of taking my own picture popped into my head. It was a Canon CF-23 model camera and had only 3-4 options to adjust the light and flash while taking a photo. I had to spend more than 5 minutes to capture the picture and after I saw the printed version of this photo, I loved it.

The picture shows me standing straight and holding a camera in front of my eyes. The backlight was visible and was more like a shining star in the sky. A part of the room was visible but everything in the opposite direction as it was through the mirror. I like this photo very much. It was taken by me, the idea was new, at least to me and the photo looks nice. My mother has this picture in her picture album and every time I see this photo, it reminds me my teenage days.

雅思口语中照片怎么描述

You should say:

When and where this photo was taken

Who took this photo

What you were doing when the photo was taken

And explain how you felt about this photo

范文:

The photo I would like to describe is a scenic, which was just taken by my phone. Although this photo is just a normal scenic, it was taken in a special place, which is on helicopter. In summer holiday last year, my roommate and I decide to go to America for a one-month travelling. When we arrived there, we heard from local that Grand Canyon is the most famous attraction in California. People living there suggested us that viewing canyon scenery from sky was the best choice. And we felt really moved and interested in their words.

So we immediately booked tickets for sky tour of Grand Canyon. Originally, I planned to enjoy the first time of the sky tour, but actually the helicopter shook heavily and it was difficult to take any photos during flying. This made me dizzy. You know, I looked outside the window and enjoyed views by eyes without taking any photos. Luckily, after we got off from the helicopter, my roommate told me that she used her phone, taking a photo for me. The photo has splendid background of the whole Grand Canyon and I was looking at the window. I love this photo and use it as my desktop until now.
