雅思写作高分范文篇一:互联网发展的利弊
Do you think the development of internet is a positive or negative trend?
People can go to shop, bank and work with computer. But the danger of the computer is people are getting isolated and losing some social skills. To what extent do you agree with this opinion?
The progression of computer is inevitable and undeniable. Nowadays computers also have become a part of our daily life. Instead of leaving home to go to shop bank and work people can do these at home by clicking the buttons. However, some people hold the opinion that it will cause people isolated from each other and lose social skills。
Personally I find it hard for me to agree with this opinion by following reasons。
In the first instance, computers are tool to communication with people instead of isolation from the world. When we say a person is isolated it means that he is lonely and cut off the world. However, people seldom have this feeling while they are surfing the Internet. On the contrary, people tend to make more friends through the net
Secondly, people also can acquire social skills on Internet. Communication on Internet has the same purpose as face-to-face communication has. For example, through Internet we can send greeting cards to our friends. Furthermore, sometimes it might be a better way of communication on some occasions such as when you find it embarrassing to say sorry face to face we can send a message of apology to your friend。
Last but not least, doing something through Internet actually spares more time for our social life. Sometime we need to spend a lot of time shopping in department stores. Now we can save the time and may visit our friends。
In general, computer just make our life more colorful so we don't need to worry about the changes its may bring to us. Especially most of these changes are positive.
雅思写作高分范文篇二:使用机器人的利弊
Intelligent machines such as robots are increasingly being used. They cando many things that used to be done by human. Discuss the benefits anddangers.
For centuries, people have fantasized that someday machines could haveintelligence like mankind and work as faithful servants. Today this dream hascome true in many fields thanks to rapid development in artificial intelligenceresearch. Wonderful as this seems, machines have problems.
To begin with, people lose jobs when machines take their places, especiallyin the mass production industry such as automobile business. In factories of thefamous car company Ford, almost every step of car making is done by giant robotsthat work faster with higher reliability and precision than human labor. Becauseof the adoption of robots, thousands of workers are put out of their old jobsand forced to make changes in their work. Even such changes create jobopportunities because robots need people to take care of and operate, the numberof new jobs is much smaller than that of lost, thus causing huge pressure on thelabor market and government.
People become less smart because of the wide use of machines in their life.Nowadays people need to use their brain less than they did in the past.Everything is programmed and the only thing we need to do is to push a button orthrow on a switch. This has given us great convenience but made us lazier andless smart. Everyone has the awkward moment troubling with the spelling of asimple word when writing with a pen. But with a computer, it will automaticallyproofread the spelling and grammar of your writing. So people become lessconcerned with learning things right. This is not a progress but a regress ofour intelligence and culture.
But machines have many benefits that nobody can deny such as great workefficiency and low cost of mass production. The workload that could take monthsto finish by manual labor could be done flawlessly by robots in minutes. We havemore purchasing power to enjoy a wider variety of goods and services because ofthe reduction of production costs with factories using machines. Other benefitsinclude that machines could do dangerous jobs for people in high risk businesseslike mining and construction.
To conclude, machines have many merits that make our life easier and moreconvenient, but they have caused many problems such as undercutting our jobopportunities and overdependence on machines.

范文:
Music is an important form of enjoyment. It addresses our psychological, mental and spiritual needs. Many people may be hard to imagine how a musician is crazy about music. As far as I can see, apart from providing pleasure, music has many beneficial effects on individuals’ performances.
On one hand, some argue that music is only a form of enjoyment, for modern music, especially pop music, is a medium of commercial companies whose original purpose is to make profits by entertaining consumers. For instance, karaoke bars, concerts, and even the pub are the public places where people listen to music just for fun or to relax themselves by paying money. In other words, what pop music bring to listeners are no more than superfacially sensotary excitements, exclusive from other practical purposes like spirit-level enlightenment or self reflection.
On the other hand, many others believe that to a broader extent, the power of music is far beyond just pleasing people, and its another main social role is of connecting people. When people go to a musical concert, they are with those people who share their musical tastes. Together, they feel the emotions and thoughts that the music evokes. These common feelings easily turn into mutual understanding and respecting, thus strenghthening ties among friends, as well as eliminating the gap between different social classes. To add to it, music improves concentration. Students can concentrate better if light music is played in the background because it kills the other disturbing noises.
Beside, in recent times we have witnessed an increasing trend in parents sending their children to learn various musical instruments such as piano and violin, so more and more people learn the benefits of music. Through learning musical instruments, not only can music help children develop a good personality, but cultivate children an aesthetic sense.
To sum up, music is not just for entertainment. As a form of art, music has enriched individuals’ life in many aspects including promoting our mental, emotional development, and positive personalities.
雅思写作高分范文篇四:艺术家的自由
Creative artists should be given freedom to express their ideas 【words, pictures, music and films. However some people think government should take some restriction with them. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Give your reasons with own knowledge and give examples.
The responsibility of an artist is to create artworks to cater for people’s needs for aesthetics and enjoyment. Some masterpieces by the world-renowned artists like Shakespeare, the greatest poet in British literature; Vinci, the most famous Italian painter, architect and sculptor impress the people around the world deeply. From my point of view, the government should not give restrictions to artists. On the contrary, their creativity and innovation should be encouraged.
Creativity is the source of arts. The development of literature is a very vivid illustration. From Classicism to Romanticism, from Renaissance to Realism, from Humanity to Post-modernism, all the styles of literature reflect people’s thinking and have epoch-making significance. Suppose there were only one style of literature, people would not appreciate so abundant poetry and novels and our world would become so monotonous.
Furthermore, restrictions on creativity will arouse tragedies, one of which is “Burn books and bury the literati in pits” in Chinese history launched by Emperor Qin Shihuang, who buried the Confucian scholars alive and prohibited the dissemination of Confucian. Another tragedy was started by Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, who killed many creative artists and intellectuals, undermining the literal development and distorting the development of humanity. History proves that only when a government encourages people to express their own idea and thought freely, can its country make progress and prosper.
Finally, I will quote a classic sentence from a famous article entitled “Give me liberty or give me death” by Patrick Henry, the greatest writer in American history, “I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”
