What kind of TV series it is
In the name of people】。
Who the main characters are
What it is about
What part do you like most
And explain why you like to watch it
You should say:
How does it look like
Where did you see it
When did you see it
And how do you feel about this work
2.主题:Power
Okay, so recently I’ve been watching “Power” – a TV series about a guy who comes from a poor neighborhood and makes a lot of money selling drugs – and then he decides that he wants to go legit; he wants to leave his past behind and make a legitimate business with his nightclub Truth. So, the series follows the problems he and his family have to face while trying to get out of the drug business and make a legal living running clubs. Obviously, it’s not as easy as it might sound – because all his old friends still try to involve him in drug trafficking, and there always seems to be some crisis or something which stops the guy from simply making a clean break and starting afresh.
A friend of mine recommended the series; I hadn’t heard of it before, but I gave it a try. Watching a couple of episodes, and I kind of liked it. Each episode has good pacing, and the characters are interesting enough to hold your attention. The plot is also quite well written and has just enough twists and turns to keep you wondering what will happen next.
Another thing I like about it is that the things that happen are credible; they’re not fantastically impossible scenarios like in some TV series – you can actually imagine how such circumstances might occur in real life and how these people would deal with them. So, the main characters are a guy called Jaimie and his wife Tasha and their two children, and Jaimie’s ex-drug partner Tommy Egan, who is still involved in the drug business.
The other main character is government lawyer, Angela Valdez, who has an affair with Jaimie while the special task force she is a member of is trying to prosecute Jaimie and Tommy for drug related crimes. There are some other characters which recur throughout each episode, people who work in the club and other friends and contacts that appear repeatedly throughout the series.
It’s now in season four, although I haven’t watched this current season yet – I watched up until the end of season three, so I guess I’ll catch up with it when I have some more free time. I like watching the episodes all at once rather than one each week. But it’s one of the best TV series I’ve seen for a while – the fact that the time flies past while watching it is always a good sign that it’s enjoyable.
Describe a TV series or drama you enjoy watching
You should say:
What it is
What it' s about
When did you first watched it
And explain why you like watching it
解析:

范文:
11.22.63 is a new personal favorite. I've never been a huge fan of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones or any of those huge series that seem to captivate pretty much everyone I know. BUT, 11.22.63 is different. I first saw this show last month and so far it's keeping me on the edge of my seat. It's a very clever show, it really plays on the idea of things like the butterfly effect but not in a complicated way. In fact the whole time traveling side of the show is very nicely explained in the first episode!
The cinematography, directing, script, screenplay and the acting are all very tight. It's not particularly violent or too rude, there is use of strong language but it's split up and is used more as a means of conveying emotion than just for the sake of having bad language in a show. It draws you in straight away, no silly elongated dialogue or anything like that; within 10 minutes of episode one, the main character 【who is very capably played by James Franco】 is already catapulted back in time ... and the rest is history 【so to speak】.
It's produced by Stephen King and J.J Abrams who are masters of this kind of concept; it's eerie, suspenseful and really engrossing. There are a lot of very "Stephen King moments" which remind me of his other works. It's a very intriguing watch and I’m really into it, and like I said I’m not usually a big fan of all these mega-popular TV series so even I’m surprised at just how much I’m enjoying it! If you're looking for a fast paced drama or thriller which is superbly produced, you have to see this.
1.Do you watch television a lot?
Well, I used to watch but now I have altogether stopped watching it.
或者:Oh! I love watching television. It is something that helps me break off stress after a tiring day.
2.What’s your favorite type of TV program?
Being an architect, I used to not only read books but also watch TV documentaries in order to pick up information related to my field; but recently, because I found that the Internet is full of better material, I’ve been streaming videos, which is a much more efficient way to enhance my knowledge.
3.Do you like watching TV?
I don’t get time really to watch TV and I don’t like the fact that you have no choice about what to watch, so no I would say I don’t really like watching normal TV, I much prefer streaming something on my iPad and watching it when I like.
4.How often do you watch TV?
I’d say maybe only a few times a month when there is a good football match on. I prefer watching football on TV with other people around because it’s a great atmosphere, but if it’s a normal TV show I will just watch it alone at home on my tablet.
5.What kind of TV programmes do you like to watch?
I like dramas and thrillers. I don’t really like anything that is not set in the real world, so I’m not a big fan of sci-fi or fantasy, although I have been getting in to the latest season of Game of Thrones. I also really like to watch documentaries about military history, especially anything to do with the Second World War.
6.What are the most popular TV shows in your country?
In my country these days reality shows and comedy shows are among the most popular TV programs. I guess it’s because its content is suitable for audience of any age from children to the elderly. The fans of reality shows feel interactive and familiar with the competitors while that of comedy shows generally want to be entertained with jokes and laughters.
7.Do you like watching TV shows from other countries?
Yes, most of the programmes I watch are from the United States. Networks like HBO and Netflix have the biggest budgets and as a result can make some really high quality shows. I don’t think Game of Thrones could be made without a huge budget and America is probably the only country that can make a TV show on that scale.
8.Has the internet affected your viewing habits?
Absolutely, I watch most TV shows on the internet now, rather than a normal TV. There are so many streaming services like Netflix offering on-demand TV and it suits me to be able to watch what I want, when I want. I also like to binge watch a series of TV shows, just watch a whole series in a day or two rather than waiting for the next episode.
9.What is your favourite TV show?
There was an American show called Fargo that I really loved. It was an adaptation of a film made about 15 years ago. The plot lines and characters were really interesting and the dialogue was well written. Unfortunately, there has only been one season of it so far, so I have to wait another year to see the next season.
10.What was your favourite show when you were a child?
I was a bit of a strange child because I didn’t really like cartoons like most of the other kids. But there were a few shows I loved like The A-Team, Knight Rider and Air Wolf. They were so cool and always had great action scenes. I was a bit obsessed with violent action films when I was kid. When I think about them though they weren’t really all that violent compared to shows these days, I don’t think one person was ever killed in any of those programmes.
