This kind of thing happened in my school recently is that last year my school opened a compulsory class on cooking, teaching you to cook different kinds of foods, such as Chinese dishes or cuisine from other countries. At first Ididn’t think it a good idea, because I used to rely on parents to cook meals for me and I wanna spend more time on my study. However, after months’ learning, I mastered many skills of cooking, such as how to fry, how to steam, how tostew and so on, now I can cook many delicious foods by myself and I get a sense of accomplishment. Two years later I will study in another country by myself, I think this skill may help me to be more independent. It turns out this coursecan be positive and beneficial.
Since last semester, the administration center in our school has announced that the power supply will be controlled and turn off in our dorm rooms at ten o’clock every evening, instead of supplying the power the whole night. Atfirst, every one of us was absolutely furious with this policy, because it brought us a lot of inconvenience. For example, I can’t charge my iphone and mac air any more and sometimes, I can’t preview and finish the assignments untilmidnight. However, after I get used to this new rule, I’ve never left my homework till the midnight. Furthermore, I start to form a good habit of sleeping early and get up early to jog a little bit before getting to the dining hall forbreakfast.
1. Describe the most important decision that you've made in your life. Include reasons and examples to support your response.
Sample answer:
A particularly significant decision I've made in my life was that I came to work and live in Beijing. I had just finished my contract on a very decent job and I suppose I wanted freedom, or at least a long break. So I decided to cometo Beijing even though I knew it is a challenging and demanding【要求苛刻的】 city. But I still thought life was wonderful and the world was big.
Besides, I was always a bit tempestuous 【心潮澎湃的】 and I liked to do things on the spur 【鞭策】 of the moment.
Arriving in a new city was exhilarating. Just walking out of the station with a suitcase and two bags and with a dream of doing something for the Olympic Games, I felt I had arrived and I felt life was mine and I could make of itwhat I wanted.
That summer, I realized again and saw clearer that life never ought to be boring, but on the contrary is full of adventure and challenge and is exciting, too.
2. If you unexpectedly received a large amount of money, what would you do with it? Would you spend it for practical purposes or simply for fun?
Sample answer:
If I got a lot of money, the first thing I would like to do is to go for overseas study. I have always wanted to finish my university in a different country. When I was in junior high, one of my classmates got a chance to go to theUSA. At that time there were not many families who could afford their child to do that. To me, it was also a dream, and the dream has been planting in my mind until today. Therefore, I would definitely do this first if I had enoughmoney. Then, I would give the rest of my money to my parents so that they could live a better and easier life. These two things above are what I really would like to do if I had a lot of money.
3. Describe an enjoyable event in your childhood.
Sample answer:
An enjoyable event that took place in my childhood was when I first got my first dog---Gus. I was ten and had been pestering【纠缠】 my parents for a dog for years. One day I came home from school, my parents said they had a surprisefor me and it was waiting for me in my room. I ran up to my room and threw open the door. I found a tiny puppy with a red bow around his neck at the foot of my bed. He was fast asleep. And for the rest of his life, he slept on the exactsame spot at the end of my bed every night. That was a great happy event in my childhood.

Note-taking in the Independent Task【1、2
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be? Use details to support your. response;另一类是选择类问题【Paired-choice Response】,如:Do you like to try new kinds of food or eat the same kind of food all the time? Use details and examples to support your response,准备时间为15秒,回答问题时间为45秒。
Question:

Sample Answer

After I finish my master''''''''s degree three years from now, I will most likely take a position in another company for a few years to make some money and to spend some time planning my own business. Within ten years, I hope to own my own company and be on the way to making it a success.
Question:
Sometimes students have to write papers. Sometimes they have to give oral presentations. Which activity do you think is better for students, and why? Include details and examples in your explanation.
考生应迅速在纸上写下“pap”、“strong read write exams”、“more time think deeply”等信息。

strong read write exams 【need strong writing skills for reading and writing and prepare for exams】
more time think deeply

Transitions: firstly because, so also
Sample Answer
I think writing papers is better for students. Firstly we need to develop strong writing skills. We go to school mainly to learn reading and writing, so we need a lot of practice. Examinations require a lot of writing, so writing papers is good reparation. Also, I think writing is a better way to show that I understand. When I write a paper, I can think deeply because I have more time to explain my ideas.
