很多同学被这道题目难住，因为其中提及的逻辑非常严谨：没有否定科技的发展人类的进步，只是在程度上做文章，遇到这种情况做何处理呢?首先，从立场来讲，这道题算是要反对的，因为人类前进的步伐不可否认。在这个大前提下，如何证明今后还会有质的发展呢?我们不妨换个角度思考这个问题。可以产生重大进步的领域，势必是目前并不尽人如意的领域，而相关问题一旦弥补，便可实现质的提升，比如交通，如果可以在代步的同时实现节能环保;比如通讯，如果可以实现普及性的随时随地可视通话【more affordable】，那么人们的生活质量将得到significant的提升。

The pursuit of happiness is one of human being's basic rights. Jobs and social lives are two elements that can affect our happiness and people are universally striving for a balance between them. Whether one’s job is more influential on happiness than social life has become a heated issue. In my opinion, jobs outweigh social lives in affecting people's happiness.

To begin with, people gain sense of achievement from work, which is closely related to happiness. Apart from rudimentary physical demands like eating and sleeping, people need to search for the meaning of life, and working is the best way to realize this kind of value. It is no denying that the realization of the value of life is the ultimate form of happiness. For example, Steve Jobs, as we all know, is a workaholic without abundant social lives, but from his biography I can feel that his work is the biggest resource of his happiness.

Additionally, jobs bring people money that is the material guarantee of happiness. We have to admit that happiness without the foundation of material is not real happiness. In other word, all seemingly happy lives are based on decent financial strength. Meanwhile, jobs are the most stable way to gain wealth, which indeed plays a significant role in influencing our happiness. A good case in point is my cousin's family whose happiness is well admired by others. At first, they live in extravagant villa with 3 servants. Besides, my cousin is studying at an American university, while his mother is stunning everyday by using expensive cosmetics and ornaments. In a sense, happiness can be bought by money.

Compare the advantages of having friends who are different from you with the advantages of having friends who are similar to you. Which kind of friend do you prefer for yourself? Why?

There are a lot of advantages to having friends who are different from you. For one thing, they’ll give you a different way of looking at the world,. Friends who are different can introduce you to foods, music, politics, and books you’ve never tried before. If you’re a spontaneous kind of person, someone who is more scheduled can help you get better organized. You, on the other hand, can help them loosen up a little bit, and do things more on the spur of the moment.

Someone who is different from you won’t have the same reaction to situations. This can be a big help. If you’re the kind of person who gets very impatient waiting for your meal in a restaurant, it helps to have someone calm with you. Your friend can help you keep your temper. If you’re a little timid about standing up for yourself, a more assertive friend can help you develop a little more self-respect.

However, there can also be advantages to having friends who are similar to you. You usually enjoy doing the same things, so you don’t have to argue about what you want to do. Sometimes it’s fun experiencing new things. Other times, it’s more fun doing what you know you’ll enjoy.

All things considered, I think I’d like to have a lot of acquaintances who are different and a few close friends who are similar to me. That seems the best of both worlds....

托福独立写作话题分布规律

2017年写作话题的分布一句话总结“还是熟悉的配方，还是熟悉的味道”。与2016年一致教育类独占鳌头，共考20场。但上一年频繁出现的工作类话题，2017比重低。其它友谊、环保、古今对比、生活习惯、电影电视、工作成功相关话题相对分布均匀。这样是为让我们对各类话题都有了解全面备考，需要大家每一类话题都准备相应语料应对考试。下面详细讲占比较高的教育、友谊、生活习惯三类话题。

首先，教育类话题主要从五方面出题：第一，学生品质培养;第二，学生课外活动、选课;第三，家庭教育学【父母在孩子成长中起什么样作用，学校老师如何帮助孩子】;第四，如何提高教师质量。

以下题为例：

这道题讲孩子的性格塑造，从性格塑造、价值观培养方面入手三选一。

比如第二种托福写作教育类话题里最常见的一类学生选课，如这道三选一题目some young people are free in the evening or have days off at school, which way can bring them the most benefit?

1】 accumulating working experience by a part-time job or volunteering in a community;

这道题选其中一个好，说另外两个不好或很难实施即可。

家庭教育学主要围绕父母职责。例如经典老题“家长应不应该帮孩子做作业”，“家长要不要给孩子零花钱”。这些题都贴近日常生活也好展开。老师的职责方面，可以出三选一，“你认为哪个是高中老师最重要的能力”?给建议的能力，识别学生需要帮助的能力，还是鼓励学生努力学习的能力?

大家需注意教师培训类今年出现长题目，而且托福考试的趋势是题目越来越长。长不意味着难写。比如有些题目两个选项都写三四行内容，但题型没有变化，同意说好处，不同意攻击坏处。

其次，朋友相关话题。它在过去两年出题频率都比较高。一般题目两方面入手：第一，朋友对我们的各种影响。第二，如何对待朋友，处理一段友谊。下面是一道朋友影响的题目：People easily learn from the friends beside them.人们可以从朋友中学到很多。再比如：You have long been friend with someone. If they do something that you don’t like , should you still be friends with him or her?你和一个人是老朋友，如果他做了你不喜欢的事，还会继续做朋友吗?

再有，生活习惯类话题。这类话题由于涉及生活各个方面每年占比都非常高。主要涉及三方面：一、如何分配你的钱;二、如何保持健康;三、如何放松娱乐消遣。
